What some of United Transmission's customers have said about us...

These guys are alright with me!!!
My 2002 Rodeo was driving like someone was hitting me in the back when I would accelerate, especially when I would first drive it cold. David diagnosed it as two quarts short of transmission fluid. They added the fluid, free of charge and took care of me as if I was an old customer. I was referred to them from my mechanic and I am so glad because I will use them if I have to again, which I hope I won't, and I will recommend them to everyone I know. They may be located close to downtown Atlanta, but they give you that small town feel. Great customer service. Thanks so much David and Joe. You guys are a great team!!!

They did not charge me!
United Transmission ran a bunch of tests on my car and realized that the problem with my car was the onboard computer.
Comments: United Transmission recommended that I take my car to the Toyota shop because there was a recall on the part that I needed. Even though they were able to diagnose the problem with my car they didn't charge me anything.

Taking care of customers!

We had the transmission of our 2002 Chrysler Town and Country rebuilt by United Transmission in Feb 2009 and got the standard 12 month/12,000 mile warranty.

In August of 2010 we started having a different transmission problem and even though our warranty had expired 6 months earlier, Joe and the crew at United took care of us free of charge. Turns out their supplier of torque converters was not providing quality products and they have since changed to a better supplier. They may not have a fancy waiting room or a new building, but they do provide great customer service!

Honest!
I was referred to United Transmission by my auto mechanic of more than a decade. Turns out, after a test drive, that my transmission isn't in dire straits.
United Transmission gave me diagnostic tips & didn't charge. They'll be my #1 stop when my transmission does start to fail. Honest, nice, and efficient.

Priceless!
My 1995 Celica had what I thought was an oil leak. I took it to a place where I've taken it many times, and was told it was a transmission leak and I needed to go to United Transmission.

Although they were exceedingly busy, one guy checked the car out and showed me that the leak was coming from a hose from the transmission to the radiator, and asked who had installed the radiator. Of course, it was the place which had sent me to United Transmission. The guy added transmission fluid and didn't charge me a dime. I went back to the original place to get them to fix the leak. If I had a transmission problem, I wouldn't hesitate to call United.

I thought I was going to have to get a new transmission because my car was acting up. I left it there for the day, I came back, and it was ready.

Usually, the first thing you think of when you think of auto service, is that regardless of where you go, you are going to get hassled, and upcharged.
After talking to them about my car, that impression quickly changed. I was comfortable with their diagnosis -- I ended up only needing transmission fluid, when they easily could have told me I needed a new transmission. They were very friendly, and the charge/diagnosis was very reasonable. You can tell when you walk in that he cares about his occupation. Customer service prevails over all else.

I would go back
...
The reverse went out on my suv. Had to have a custom rebuild. Sun shell was stripped, or something to that effect. A week after I got my car back the reverse went out again. But when I put the car in park, then reverse again, it would shift. It only did that twice.

I took my car back, they looked at it, then said it wasn't doing it then so they couldn't do anything... Well when it did this again, I didn't put it in park before using my camcorder on my phone to record the rpm going to five with the speed going nowhere. I have to admit, that although it was an expensive, time consuming experience, it has not been the worse. It is also the funniest.

Joe Barton is a sweet, fiesty old man. He is running things there, and as much as I like him, he needs to retire! I chuckle to myself everytime I think about our conversations. None the less his mechanics are "up to speed" and got the job done! The shop's office looks like it hasn't been much organized since the sixties <G> but nothing a computer can't fix.

Joe Barton and United Transmission are the BEST!
Joe was honest and helpful, with competitive pricing and so pleasant to work with. He helped us with our transmission problem and now our Volvo is running like a dream! Thanks to Joe and United Transmission we are very happy campers!
