Joe Barton and the crew at United Transmission Service on Marietta Street have done great work for reasonable and fair prices on my vehicles. I have known Joe for over 20 years and he has always been fair and honest. I have also recommended several business associates and friends to United transmission and they thanked me for that recommendation. United Transmission Service is not the fanciest place in town, but that means you are not paying for a large overhead. Joe does a great job and is always fair with warranty consideration.

Description Of Work: United Transmission Service did a great job repairing my transmission. They are fairly priced, offer a great warranty, and completed the work in a timely manner. i would recommend them to anyone!
Comments: The overall experience was very good. The front office could use some clean up and decorating, but that is not the important part. They provided me with the repairs I was needing and it worked out well.

My company had the transmission rebuilt in one of our work vans by United and they did a great job at a fair price. We later had an issue and Joe diagnosed the problem at no charge and arranged to deliver it to another shop that did the work that was needed. Highly recommend.

I was a business traveler, in town for the week for work when my car was having problems. These guys were VERY HONEST and took GREAT CARE of me! I can't explain the other reviews, but I can tell you from first hand experience they are indeed honest. A quick computer diagnostic and they had me fixed within 30 minutes. They could have easily taken advantage of me, but they did not. They explained the problem and fixed it. I was relieved it wasn't a serious problem. They seemed more concerned with me getting home safe than anything else. Joe and the guys are friendly, honest, and conduct themselves with lots of integrity. I strongly recommend them to anyone in need of service work. The other comments on here have got to be absolute rubbish, because these guys are great! Thanks for the great service Joe! I appreciate you guys more than you know!!!!

Comments: Thanks so much for your help with our work van. Lamar and David’s trouble shooting and persistence saved us a major headache. As you know the pressure control solenoid on the transmission coded and we were advised that we needed a Transmission for $2,800.00. We came to you for a second opinion. David discovered that the ECM (computer) was not working properly and drove the van over to Auto Battery & Ignition Company at 696 West Peachtree. Joey at Auto Battery & Ignition replaced the computer, programed the soft wear and changed the oil for a fraction of the above costs and the van is back in use.
Should we have another transmission related issue, we will be back and will also “highly” recommend United Transmissions to our colleagues and friends.

Very friendly and helpful.
I took my Cadillac in with a slipping transmission and spoke with Joe who then had his head mechanic check the car out. I was afraid it was going to cost me an arm and a leg to get the job done to the tune of 2500.00+. As it turns out, they were able to rebuild it and get my car back on the road for far, far less and ended up only paying about 1400.00 when all was said and done. This saved me quite a bit compared with what other shops were quoting and best of all, they were able to take care of it the same day I dropped it off while I visited a few other places in the city. I'm very pleased with the experience I had at this shop and Joe is one of the friendliest and as far as I can tell, stand-up guys I've ever met in the car repair business. I've referred all my friends there ever since and have heard great things from them, also.
